According to sources, Julius Mwangi Njuguna, the vice chairman of Naivasha sub-county Integrated  IDPs  suffered a deep cut on his head after he was kidnapped by three men who were armed with a pistol and crude weapons on Friday.

He said he was picked from his house and taken to an isolated place within the expansive Delamere estate where he was tortured before being released after passersby on a motorbike spotted them.

Addressing media, Mwangi said the kidnappers told him that they had been sent to kill him because he was one of the IDPs leaders who have been interfering with the ongoing compensation.

“They told me they had been sent to kill me," he said.

According to Samuel Oduor, the chairman of Naivasha sub-county integrated IDPs, said they have been living in fear since Friday.
