Bunguma senator who is also a NASA principal Moses Wetang'ula has accused Jubilee of being behind the attacks meted on coalition flag-bearer Raila Odinga in Thika and Baringo.

Speaking in Sirisia Constituency, Wetang'ula said that such actions could send the wrong message to party's supporters in other areas.

“We condemn the attack by goons hired by our competitors. That was wrong, especially during this campaign period because it paints a bad picture,” Wetang’ula said.

He said that any politician should be allowed freedom to take his campaign to any part of Kenya without being harassed.

He decried the political intolerance witnessed on Wednesday and said that it only sets a bad example for the rest of the country.

Wetangula urged Inspector General Joseph Boinnet to bring to book all those involved.

“We need fair treatment during our rallies,” he said.

“We know what happened in Bungoma last month and those who were responsible are known, yet the police are not doing anything about it. We demand the police be fair in dealing with political violence and not lean on one side,” he said.
