Speaking on Sunday in Lagobaya during his two-day tour of the Coast region, Mudavadi gave the strongest hint yet that he is willing to partner with the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (Cord) to defeat Jubilee Party in 2017.

“We are still in dialogue to come up with a super alliance to win the votes,’’ he said.

He said they were looking for one strong alliance to win the elections and the support of Kenyans.

Accompanying Mudavadi for the tour was Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi who told Cord leaders to join them if they wanted to win the general elections.

Agoi said that Cord co-principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetang'ula should let Mudavadi lead the new alliance adding that the three have been wrangling incessantly which disadvantages them agains President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto.
