Four Jubilee MPs who were ousted from four parliamentary committees have moved to court.

The MPs want the Jubilee Party, the National Assembly, House Majority Leader and majority Chief Whip punished for for contempt of court.

The four; Alfred Keter, Silas Tiren, David Kangogo Bowen and James Mwangi Gakuya complained have claimed that respondents ignored an existing court order.

Emgwen MP Alexander Kimutai Kigen was also enjoined in the proceedings.

On December 27, the High Court had issued orders barring the respondents from removing the complainants from their various positions in the House committees.

They are represented by Danson Mungatana.

Justice George Odunga directed that the matter be heard on January 31, 2017.
