By filing a petition at the High Court in Kirinyaga against the election of Ann Waiguru as governor, the Iron Lady of Kenyan politics hoped to revive her dream of becoming Kirinyaga's C.E.O.That prospect appears to be in great jeopardy after the High Court dismissed the petition terming it ''fatally defective, hopeless and incurable..''.Unlike other candidates who lost in the August elections, Miss Karua finds herself in a uniquely peculiar situation.
She antagonised both sides of the political spectrum and that means that her woes are not likely to attract any sympathy.
In fact, supporters of both Jubilee and NASA have celebrated her loss on social media, saying that she deserves what she is getting.
President Uhuru Kenyatta had implored her to cease any legal action against her bitter rival, Ann Waiguru, but in typical defiance, she decided to press ahead.
NASA supporters are bitter at her for bailing out of the opposition and joining the Jubilee side. Many see her as an opportunist who lacks firm convictions and no side is likely to welcome her back to its ranks with open arms.
