IEBC has cleared Nyando MP Fred Outa to vie for the Kisumu Senate seat.

Outa had presented his nomination papers to the commission on Sunday at the Tom Mboya Labour College

Outa expressed confidence that he will beat his opponents in the August 8 polls.

"If you have the documents you need to clear in the process, it will only take you less than 45 minutes to conclude," he said.

The candidate said that he will curb the misuse of public funds.

"I will not push for more funds only to watch it being misused or mismanaged but will ensure that everything is done free of corruption," he said.
