Nyando MP Fred Outa who is a member of the ODM party has revealed shocking revelations after spending a night in a police cell last week following his arrest.
Outa who is an ODM crusader on party loyalty revealed that he went for two days without taking shower and to make things more worse, he was made to sit on a cold floor for the two days he was in cell.
"I had to sit down on the floor with nowhere to lean on. It was quite uncomfortable and I discovered that most of the remandees complained of backaches due to the sitting position," Outa was quoted by the Standard as saying.
According to the vocal lawmaker, he has requested the management of the police station to allow him construct bathrooms and concrete seats within the institution as a way to improve their hygiene.
"I have made a request to the institution's management to allow me fund the construction of bathrooms and concrete seats within the cells to improve the well-being of the remandees," he added.
Outa was arrested after Ahero Girls High School students went on rampage demanding the reinstatement of their interdicted principal Sarah Adipo who has since resumed her duties following court intervention.
