Apparently, the president has visited the coast on  more than ten occasions. He has been to Ukambani on at least  five incidences and toured the Western region more than five times. Even Nyanza regions have graced his presence for at least five times since 2013.

However, the president has ventured into Meru, Tharakanithi county and Embu once and it is when he was commemorating the Mati road; a project which was initiated  during the Kibaki-Raila tenure.

According to the enraged residents, Uhuru has initiated many development projects in the many areas he has visited, including huge amounts given to Machakos county in sourcing water, spotlights at major towns like Kisumu, Mombasa  and initiated solar power at Central, rift valley and parts of Ukambani.

Be it as it may, when the Miraa market in Meru declined, the president did nothing to come to the aid of the residents' outcry. He however sent one billion cash to revive the same but the farmers have no inkling idea where it disappeared to.
