Nairobi county liquor board chairman Vincent Shimoli has said that his team will withdraw liquor licenses for bars, clubs and entertainment joints that sell alcohol and admit underage children.
“I urge parents and Nairobi residents to give us the names of bars and restaurants who continue to flaunt the rules. We know that schools are now closed and therefore bars and club owners would want to make quick money by selling alcohol to underage children,” said Shimoli on Saturday while he was speaking in Kibera, Mashimoni area.
He added that the board’s enforcement teams have started operations in the city and have earmarked several pubs and restaurants for closure.
“It is prudent for parents to know who their children are spending time with at all times to help us in this operation,” said Shimoli.
