There was outrage on social media after a photo did rounds showing KCPE candidates sitting their final exams in a dilapidated classroom.
The photo shows the children sitting in a room whose mud walls have been eaten away.
It is reported that the school is in Kakamega county.
While showing his frustration, a user by the name Chad Bironga Makori posted:
"KCPE candidates at Shikokhwe Primary School, Malava in Kakamega County sit for their Kiswahili paper in a dilapidated classroom on November 1, 2017," he wrote.
"How do you tell such a kid there's a better future when the walls where such dreams are born are tumbling down?" he asked.
The photo raised outrage on social media with some calling for the arrest of the headmaster and school managers.
"In this era and time do these classrooms exist? Wakeup Malava constituents," said one user, Vincent Ochomo.
"Kwani Malava hakuna CDF na ndio mnasema tuko serikali kupata maendeleo?" quipped another user Kevin Mwanga.
