Is the signing of Raila swearing-in papers by over 120 MPs a boost to the opposition in their bid to make Raila president?
This question is relevant because of the current political temperatures.
Today Tuesday, newspapers are awash with their boring jargon of "Boost to Raila as over 100 MPs sign..."
Where do such media experts read their facts?
Where is the boost in 100 MPs signing a document on an issue they do not have any authority?
A president is elected during a general election by the citizens; a president is not signed swearing-in forms.
The exercise by the MPs is like saying that 100 legislators sign papers to declare so-and-so is the husband of so-and-so.
People only get married by taking vows from a certain authority, and even if the whole Parliament signed volumes of papers to support an illegal marriage, it would never happen still.
That is the futility of those fooling Raila with their signatures just because they want to appear loyal to the leader.
The said ceremony is set to be held in Nairobi at Uhuru Park.
In my view, the over 100 signature boost is only a death sentence to thousands of unemployed youths in the city.
Jubilee with their brutal sense of authority will be quick to deploy police, and the result will be grave.
To the Nairobian man or woman, my advice would be to stay away from this chaos and let the leaders clobber each other wherever they want to demonstrate their might.
