An annual staff meeting which brought together staff from Technical and Administration from the Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Departments brought together over 280 staff in Uasin Gishu County.
Chief guest Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno congratulated the staff for ensuring County projects such as Inua Mama na Kuku and the Kijana na Acre were successful.
The flagship projects sponsored by governor Jackson Mandgo target to improve economic status of Women and Youth respectively.
"Despite the challenges in logistics I want to encourage you to remain focused. We are also looking into issues concerning delayed promotions and confirmations. The community identify the county with you. Keep up the hard work. The few challenges you face shall bore great fruits and success,'' Chemno said, Tuesday at the Starbuck hotel.
Agriculture CeC Dr Cyril Cheruiyot hailed the staff, saying the were doing their best.
"You are in touch with what the farmers are doing. Your expertise in the field is what makes us the best," he said, Tuesday.
The County Chief Officer Victoria Tarus welcomed new staff in the County government and emphasised hard work from all sectors.
"We want to see improved farming methods, growth in fish farming and more dairy production from our farmers."
