Over 4,500 Katangi ward residents in Yatta sub-county will benefit from piped water courtesy of aspiring Mp Engineer Lemmy.
The program commenced late last year aiming at benefiting residents with households clean water.
According to Lemmy, the residents have suffered a lot especially during dry seasons where they have to walk for so many kilometres in search of water which touched him and decided to save the situation.
"I have been watching wrangles between already in position leaders doing things for the purpose of their own gains when people who elected them to such positions are suffering.I was highly touched by that situation and decided to end the problem," said Lemmy.
He was speaking today March 30 during the inspection of the ongoing laying down of the pipes.
He urged residents to make good use of the water and ensure that they report immediately in case of water problems such as bursting of water pipes.
