[Photo|PPB]The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) destroyed over 5,4914 kgs of pharmaceutical waste on Thursday.PPB in partnership with PSK and KPA destroyed the waste at Envirosafe Limited incinerator, at EPZ Athi River at a cost of Sh1.29 million. The Board said the waste were collected from various hospitals, chemists and clinics in various counties namely Kitui, Mombasa and Nairobi for safe disposal in accordance with the law.
