The county government of Mombasa has issued the second batch of cheques under the Mombasa County Revolving Fund kitty to about 700 locals.
The beneficiaries include people from 185 groups of Persons Living with Disabilities, Youth and Women Groups from Jomvu, Changamwe and Likoni Sub-counties, through the Department of Youth,Gender and Sports.
"The groups have taken through capacity building training sessions on how to start up businesses and expand existing ones, aimed at improving their standard of living," said governor Ali Hassan Joho, Wednesday.
He noted the County government would continue to empower the marginalised groups to do business and support entrepreneurs.
