The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson Wafula Chebukati has said that over 7,573,909 million Kenyans came out to vote in the October 26 repeat presidential election.

As the vote verification exercise extended into the night, Chebukati said the commission has not manipulated any result to favour Jubilee as is claimed by NASA adherents.

72 hours after Kenyans cast their ballots, IEBC said it was still verifying the forms 34As and 34Bs at their Bomas national tallying centre before they could announce the results.

Chebukati disclosed that 36,882 KIEMS kits were used in the elections.

While explaining the

discrepancy the numbers announced just after

the end of voting, the  chairman said logs from the KIEMS kits did not show the

number of voters identified manually.
