About 90 people were on Thursday arrested for allegedly operating illegal pharmacies in a crackdown in Nyanza and Western.
North Rift regional head Kibet Chebeo said the suspects failed to produce licences and registration certificates from the relevant bodies.
“Anybody found operating without required documents and selling fake drugs will be arrested and their licences withdrawn,” he said.
He said they were undertaking the raids to ensure compliance.
“The crackdown will extend to other regions. We have already dispatched our officers to conduct inspections,” he said.
