Owili reiterated the County government's commitment to help the youth harness their skills to develop their manpower and capacity to contribute to the expansion of our economy.He said the new administration under the leadership of Governor Anyang Nyong'o would set up youth centres across the County to equip more youth with relevant skills required in the job market. The County government is also working with donor partners to establish youth resource centres. He noted the graduation was a great milestone achieved, since it empowers women through vocational training in remote areas to gain essential skills in domestic tailoring and beautician courses, fashion and design, catering, mechanic among others.Dr Owili thanked the partners who made the event a success and assured them that the county government will inject substantial funds into vocational training schools and equip them with modern technology to increase capacity and improve the quality of education.The deputy governor also revealed that the county government was in the process of signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), to provide entrepreneurial skills to the youth and urged the graduands to apply.He was accompanied by Acting Chief Officer for Education and Youth Affairs Rosemary Otieno, Nyando Sub-county administrator Maurice Oricho, and Ahero Ward Administrator Victor Opil .
