Ex-Kaspul MP Oyugi Magwanga has reportedly lashed at ODM leader Raila Odinga, terming him an 'old cartel' who has improvised the Luo nation.
Last week, Magwanga successfully contested election of Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti and the two would meet in a by election should the latter fail to appeal.
At an interview with reporters, Magwanga pointed an accusing finger to the ODM leader, whom he accused of tolerating dictatorship tendencies in the party.
"ODM party has never been democratic. It is just a cartel the old man Raila uses to siphon money from counties and constituencies," he said.
The former ODM legislator added: "In fact, he has been using the party to impoverish the Luo nation to remain political kingpin. I don't need his support."
After losing in ODM primaries last year, Magwanga ditched the party and contested as an Independent candidate where he finished second in the nullified polls.
Throughout his campaigns in Luo land, Raila slammed independent candidates despite many of them being his close lieutenants.
