Celebrated rapper Frasha has said that he joined Maendeleo Chap Chap because he shares the same political ideologies with its leader.
Speaking after his defection, Frasha lauded Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua’s party noting that is was formed on development oriented principles and that his desire is to work with leaders who want to change the lives of the common mwananchi.
In a long post on his instagram account, Frasha said that Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua’s party is the right choice to take him to power in the next general polls.
“Today I joined Maendeleo Chap Chap due to the principles this party stand for. I will work with governor @alfredmutua to bring the developments that he as done and replicated this to Athi river #INCOMINGMCA#maendeleochachap#letthepeopledecide #mcc,” Frasha wrote, as quoted by Baraka FM.
The artist will be banking on the support of the youths and other members of the society to clinch the seat when that time comes.
The announcement of Frasha comes a few days after ODM director of operations Bob Njagi suggested that he was planning to join the movement ahead of the August polls.
The long term relationship between Mutua and Frasha is among the reasons he chose MCC.
