Cord leader Raila Odinag took a swipe at IEBC Chairman Isaac Hassan again on Wednesday when he reiterated his time was up in office.
Raila who spoke at a Cord rally at Uhuru Park Nairobi said Mr Hassan and the electoral body's commissioners' images were tainted with corruption allegations and could therefore not be entrusted in conducting the 2017 general elections.
"I agree that Isaac Hassan took over the leadership of IEBC when I was in government," he said.
"But I did not know that he would later change."
He said the opposition was ready to dialogue over the IEBC impasse.
He gave the Jubilee administration until Friday to initiate talks over the stalemate lest anti-IEBC protests resume Monday.
Raila said an electoral body whose commissioners were linked to corruption cannot oversee the 2017 general election.
He said Cord will name a team that will deliberate the IEBC issue together with the team that government will appoint.
He spoke at Uhuru Park after High Court Judge George Odunga allowed the opposition to hold the rally after government said the meeting was illegal.
