Victims of emergency cases will be forced to look for other means of transportation to the hospital because the majority of the ambulances in Kisii County are in the garage after being involved in accidents.A spot check revealed that out of ten ambulances in Kisii County only five of them are operational.Mr Fred Ontweka a resident of the industrial area, Daraja Mbili said that the ambulances have stayed in the garage since mid last year."The ambulances you are seeing have stayed here for six months now," he said.Ahead of August polls last year, Ms Sarah Omache, minister for health Kisii County told the press that they had plans to repair the ambulances before the year ended which was never happened to date."We have put in place the necessary arrangements with the procurement office to release the funds for repairing the ambulances before the end of this year," Omache said last year.
