The search for the new Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners has kicked off with the advertisement of the vacancies.

On an advertisement October 24, the selection panel invites applications for the post of Chairperson and members to the electoral agency.

The panel will begin shortlisting and publish the list of shortlisted candidates on or about November 15.

The Bernadette Musundi-led panel is expected to interview shortlisted candidates in public between November 22 and 26 depending on the number of applications received and shortlisted candidates.

On November 30, the team will present two names for chairperson and nine for commissioners to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
