Bahati MP, Kimani Ngunjiri said his stay at the filthy police cells made him realize the value of treating all Kenyans equally and with respect regardless of their tribe, class or political affiliation.

Speaking in Nakuru, he said he learned a lesson that will take time for him, to forget.

“What I saw and experienced at Pangani cells humbled me and made me realize one thing, that we are all Kenyans regardless of where we come from or which political party we support,” he said.

Ngujiri said he would never wish any other Kenyan to undergo what he went through last week at the Pangani police station.

“I have come to realize that we are all equal and a poor Kenyan in Kiambu or Nyeri has the same problems as a poor Kenyan in Kisumu and that we should not be divided as a nation because of politics,” he added.

“In my Constituency, you will find Kenyans from all walks of life and from all tribes and it cannot therefore be said that am a tribalist. I love and respect all Kenyans regardless of where they come from,” he added.
