A section of Kisii and Nyamira ODM members have questioned delay in the passing of People’s Assembly motions despite NASA’s numerical strength in the two Assemblies.
Despite the court ban on the assemblies, NASA had vowed to ensure all counties under her control delegitimize President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory.
“It is really annoying that they keep on delaying yet we have the majority. Something is not adding up,” said Douglas Oindo, a party member.
Already, eleven counties have embraced the motion with eight more counties expected to pass the resolution as a way of piling pressure on Uhuru’s government.
But Nyamira Majority Leader Duke Masira argues that the motions will be passed once they are received even though reports indicate that NASA secretariat had done its part.
“There is nothing to panic because we agreed as a party and we must adhere to our resolutions. Once we receive the motion, we shall pass it without delay.”
