The body was discovered on Sunday morning by passersby who immediately alerted the police who took away the lifeless body.

"We bacame suspicious on noticing a helmet on the roadside and blood stains leading into the bush. We moved closer to check only to discover a dead body," noted Patrick Mbogo, a night guard at a shop at the Wanyororo centre.

Confirming the matter, Bahati OCPD Duncan Nguthu noted that they suspect the death was caused by internal injuries caused by the damages of a blunt object used to hit him from back.

He cautioned the operators to ensure that they ferry people they understand well at night arguing that most criminals nowdays pose as customers before facilitating their criminal activities.

"Let our boys understand that night business must be treated seriously because strangers are the ones turning against their customers before stealing from them. They should insist on ferrying people they know well to be assured of their safety," he said.

Investigations are underway to track down the culprits with police saying that intelligence report have earmarked a gang of five, suspected to be carrying out the night attacks in the area.
