Previously, the parties’ nominations have been marred with fierce competitions which in some cases triggered violence over rigging suspicions.

In a phone call to the reporter, Pareno warned candidates against spreading propaganda that they were in possession of nomination certificates even before the party holds primaries.

“As a party, we are prepared to hold free and fair nominations which have never been witnessed before. The board is ready for the task and we will not let anyone down,” she said.

“Those spreading propaganda that they are in possession of nomination certificates should be warned. We may even subject them to the party disciplinary committee,” she added.

The party is expected to hold its nominations in February and March, having received nomination papers from candidates across the country.
