Parents from Mavoko Sub County have urged government to provide laptops to pupils in schools in the area.
The parents who spoke to this writer in Mlolongo town on Wednesday complained that so far there was no single school in the sub county which had benefited from the government's pilot programme.
"We, the parents from Mavoko Sub County also wish our children are taught on computer skills just like those from other sub counties, we have waited for long to see the government's computer pilot project come to our schools in vain," said Linda Kilimo.
Ms Kilimo said their children were as eager as their parents to benefit from the programme just like other children.
Samson Omollo, a parent with a child in class two commended the Jubilee administration for what he referred to as a noble and uniquely designed project.
Mr Omollo said the government was not only meeting one of its 2013 campaign's pledges, but transforming communities through the lap top project.
He said the project had come with lots of benefits arguing most of the villages including schools had been connected to the electricity grid in Machakos County.
The parents urged locals to embrace the laptop project for the benefit of their children.
