Following many cases of young lovers killing each other, the Kibera mothers have decided to take a step and talk to the young lovers.
One of the parents, Mary Ndanu said the incidences are running out of hand. Ndanu said young people, especially those in colleges and universities need to be taught on how to handle relationship conflicts to avoid constant deaths being witnessed in the country.
‘‘Most of our young minds think love is easy to handle. It might look easy at the first place but they should know all relationships have their high and low moments. If all married people could open up what they have been passing through before and in marriage, then no youth will want to get married. If we were to kill each other as parents then no marriage could have worked in the world,’’ she said.
Njambi Kariuki advised the young lovers never to kill any person because of jealousy.
Dorris Masinde advised ladies to be careful while handling men whom she said are difficult to handle.
