[The Kenya Parents Association National Chairman Nicholas Maiyo addressing the press in Eldoret town, March 17, 2017] The Kenya Parents Association has urged the Ministry of Education to undertake thorough investigations into Sodomy claims that have rocked Maseno High School.Association's National Chairman Nicholas Maiyo said should there be evidence to confirm that the incidents happened, stern action must be taken against the culprits.Addressing the press in Eldoret, Maiyo expressed concerns over worrying trends being reported in the country's top learning institutions and challenged school management to effectively deliver on their mandate."As parents we are worried of reports that our children are engaging in things like Sodomy which we only read of in the Bible," lamented Maiyo."We demand that investigations be done and if there is evidence to support the said allegations then the ministry and other relevant organs must take stern actions against those involved," he added.Reports of sodomy among students in Maseno school led to the suspension of the institution's principle, a move that received opposition from the students and a section of local leaders.
