Parents whose pupils go to Masagoye primary in Kisii south sub-county have decried the poor state of the toilets in the school.

The school has only a 2 roofed toilet where the girls and boys share the same roof.

Parents now want the area MP Zebedeo Opore to address this matter and help the school.

"How comes our pupils share the same roof with only one toilet in the whole school? The school itself has muddy buildings. Our leaders have failed us totally. CDF money could be used to help the school but the leaders seem to be ignoring the state of the school," said Isaiah Nyakang'i.

Jacqueline Mokora noted that the health of the pupils may be affected if toilets in good conditions are not built.

"Our pupils are at risk to contradict diseases due to the state of the toilets. Opore should intervene and help the school to construct good building structures instead of going round with goons beating up people who oppose him," stated Mrs Mokora.

"We need an amicable solution to this or else we transfer our pupil's come third term to other schools," remarked Chris Ongoro.

Ongoro noted that the current toilet in the school is a waste of resources since the school would have used the money to construct good toilets even if it took long but to construct a better facility.

"In this era, pupils (boys and girls) are not supposed to share the same roof as a toilet. This should stop. How comes it is only in Bonchari we are facing difficulties yet we have leaders who should help us solve our problems? said Duke Obwocha.

Efforts to reach the school headteacher for a comment did not bore fruits since he was not in school.
