Director of Machahood in Machakos county government, Victor Munyefu has urged parents from the region to educate their children so as to have bright future.
Speaking at a graduation ceremony in Athi River town on Sunday, Munyefu said parents should also help nurture their children’s talents alongside paying school fees.
“I urge parents to give their children a chance to learn, they should also support entertainment programs to promote and nurture youth talents,” said Munyefu.
Munyefu said entertainment is the biggest industry and is independent arguing the world’s economy is also created by creative arts.
“Art is natural, it is the only natural skill one can have. As Machakos county government, we are fully committed to supporting skills in and out of the county,” said Munyefu.
Munyefu called on the graduates to get to the cooperate world and become job creators and not seekers.
