Learning at Keoke secondary school in Birongo ward, Nyaribari Chache was paralysed on Wednesday after parents locked the principal office demanding to know why the school performed poorly in the last KCSE examinations.
Led by John Tirimba they have challenged the ministry of Education under the leadership of Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i to transfer the principal.
According to the parents who were interviewed, the principal has overstayed in the school hence he deserves to be transferred.
Samuel Iteba also a parent said that they need a new principal who can improve the educations standards.
At the same time the parents accused the principal for changing the school from day school to boarding without having the necessary facilities of a boarding school.
They also said that they have been paying a lot of money in the name of school fees against the circular rolled out by the ministry of education.
Our efforts to reach the principal did not bear fruits has he had a meeting with school board members believing to be discussing the matter.
