The parents of a 15-year-old girl are going through a painful period after reports that their daughter went missing over a week as she was heading back to school early last week on Monday.
15-year-old Jennifer Lindley Awuor left home early morning on Monday and managed to secure her seat on a Climax bus at the Machakos country bus station in Nairobi and departed for school at around 10 am.
The driver and conductors of the Climax bus on inquiry confirmed that Awuor alighted safely in Luanda at around 5 pm not far from her school the Ebusakami Girls High school.
However, on Tuesday at around noon, Awuor's teacher called her mother that the Form three students had not yet reported to the school.
The parents have so far recorded a statement with the police and urge anybody who may have any details on the missing girl to contact them on social media.
