Parents and pupils at Giachong'e Primary School at Bahati in Nakuru County went on rampage on Monday morning to protest the transfer of the school Headteacher.
The newly posted headteacher Peter Kara had a hard time trying to enter the school after the parents blocked him.
According to the parents, the former headteacher had started to transform the school leading to good results when he was transferred.
"I am feeling very bad because of the transfer of our headteacher. The work he had started is yet to be completed and he wanted him to see to the end of it," Mary Waitherero, a parent said.
"He had a very good relationship with parents. We are wondering where they are taking him without giving him time to complete what he started,” another parent Joseph Kinyanjui said:
The parents were for the opinion that the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) ought to consult them before affecting any transfer.
"They should have asked us whether the teacher was good or bad; not taking him from us like thieves,” Leah Wanjiru said.
