The National Parent's Association has expressed its satisfaction with how the Ministry of Education handled this year's KCPE examinations.
Speaking to the Star on phone on Wednesday, the association chairman Nicholas Maiyo hailed education CS Dr Fred Matiang'i for the good job noting the credibility of the entire procedure.
He urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to retain Matiang'i in the same position upon the inauguration for his second term Tuesday next week.
''We are very excited about the quality and credibility of this year's KCPE examinations.It is because of the good work by Fred Matiang'i and his team in the ministry,'' he is quoted.
''We feel Matiang'i is critical to the country's future.The sector needs someone with a vision and dedication like him,'' he added.
CS Matiang'i,while delivering the results Tuesday,observed that there were no cases of cheating in this year's exams meaning that no candidate will have their results cancelled for involving in exam malpractices.
This year also saw a better performance recorded with the best pupil scoring 455 marks out of the possible 500.
