Speaking in Kisii town, Okoyo says it is the duty of parents to accept their children’s results and help them come to term and not get demoralised.

This follows after a general drop was witnessed in this year’s results compared to 2015 which has been associated with strict measures laid down by CS Fred Matiangi.

Nicholas was speaking after visiting a parent in Kisii who allegedly chased out their daughter after scoring a C-.

He says parents should focus on what next but not victimising their children.

“I want to appeal to parents to understand that students have different capacities and abilities and some scoring lower marks does not mean they are failures,” Says Okoyo.

He added that it is against the law to victimise one and parents doing that risk facing the brutal side of the law.
