A Non Governmental Organisation based in Naivasha has urged the relevant government agencies to investigate how Sh1.8 Million given to Ngu-Nyumu Primary School in Maera, Naivasha was spent.
This is after it has emerged that the primary school, with a population of more than 700 pupils, still has classrooms shortage.
Speaking to journalists today (Thursday) National Youth Forum chair, Charles Mburu, said that the school can not account how the money given to them by Constituency Development Fund (CDF) was used.
"We want the government to follow up and investigate how the CDF fund they were given was used,” said Mburu.
Mburu notes that the school has only nine teachers with many of them being employed by parents.
“We need to know the truth on how the money was used since the two classes which the management claim they built are not worthy the amount,” said Mburu.
He noted that the school also lacks sanitation facilities such as water hence putting pupils at a great risk of contracting hygiene related diseases.
