Speaking in her office on Wednesday, Kangundo Sub-County children officer Susan Ouma cautioned parents against exposing children to too much adult information, adding that when quarrelling, parents should do it in private.

The children officer said when parents trade offensive accusations against each other, their kids pick a lot of unnecessary information.

"Parents argue in the house forgetting the children are listening and they could adapt undesirable vices from the arguments,” said Ouma.

Ouma noted that most parents do not spend time with their kids, with most kids being left in the care of house helps, thus end up adopting the nanny's morals.

The officer also cautioned parents against allowing kids to watch adult movies or stay out late as it could lead to moral decay.
