Parents who have children with disabilities have been asked to register them so as they can benefit from the Affirmative Action Kitty.
Speaking in Kisii town on Thursday, Ms Janet Ong'era said that she was dedicated to ensure such children access education.
"That is the only way we shall be able to address poverty in the county. I therefore urge parents to register their kids living with disabilities so as they can gain," she said.
Ms Ong'era was speaaking after she distributed Sh 5.7 million from the Affirmative Action Kitty.
She said that over 1,000 students will gain from the funds.
The lawmaker assured locals that she will ensure that she fulfills all the promises that she made during the campaign period.
