With the ongoing exercise of getting rid of street families from Nakuru town, the county has now banned parking boys from operating within the town's Central Business District.

Nakuru deputy county commissioner Omar Salat said that parking boys who have been directing motorists seeking parking spaces will not be allowed to operate within the CBD.

He said the boys who have been soliciting money from motorists have been compromising security along the town's streets.

He said parking duties should be left to county government officials and if need be to the police.

Salat added that the county security team will not relent in ensuring that the town is free of street families.

Last month the county security team in conjunction with the county government carried out a swoop within the CBD which saw all street families cleared..
