Uhuru, speaking during a meeting with members of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) in State House on Thursday, maintained his earlier stand that he will not be negotiating with the opposition over the removal of IEBC commissioners.

"Let no one come to engage me on issues of IEBC. As I have stated we have a process that is laid down," Uhuru said.

"I myself have talked to MPs and Senators from both government and the opposition and they have always indicated their readiness to address this issue bi-partisanly," he added.

He reiterated his earlier argument that he has no powers to dissolve IEBC.

"I can't engage in that because there is no law that provides for it. All it requires is one citizen to go to court and ask in what capacity I'm asking somebody to leave office. I don't have those powers," said the President.

Cord has given Jubilee up to Sunday, June 5th to call for dialogue over IEBC failure to which they will resume their weekly anti-IEBC demos which are currently suspended.
