Senate Minority Leader Moses Wetangula has claimed that Kenyan parliament has lost integrity adding that Jubilee Administration was sequentially interfering with its operations.
Wetangula also claimed that Jubilee MPs were instructed to carry guns to chambers to ‘deal with’ opposition MPs who were against amendment of election act.
Speaking on Thursday in parliament, wetangula said the Speaker Justin Muturi was accompanied to the chambers with over 50 heavily armed security personnel.
”It has never happened in the history of Kenya that a speaker is accompanied to the chambers by such heavily armed security. This is an indication that the country is moving to a wrong direction,” he said.
“We have information that some MPs were instructed to carry weapons to the chambers to deal with those opposed to what they are plotting. Uhuru has failed to manage this country,” he added.
He accused Muturi of running the house with partiality adding that opposition will go to streets to demonstrate any amendments to election laws.
