Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has said that party politics will derail development in Gusii region.
Momanyi stated that elected leaders from the Gusii community should drop their political differences so that they can offer services to the people.
“It is not time for Jubilee or NASA. Leaders from Gusii region should visit people in deep villages to ensure projects to be launched in the region are those that have priority from the people,” he said.
The Wiper party MP said the meeting of Gusii MPs that took place in Naivasha over the weekend was a big success for the people of Gusii because the leaders who attended the meeting had good times discussing the future of the Gusii community politically, economically and socially.
“Those criticizing the meeting we held in Naivasha over the weekend should focus to strategize on how the Gusii community can benefit from the projects funded by the national government and stop giving misleading information about the MPs who attended the meeting,” he added.
He called on Nyamira and Kisii deputy governors to stop talking about succession in 2022 saying it is too early to tell who will succeed Governor Nyagarama and James Ongwae respectively.
