Nairobi county women representative candidate Ester Passaris has attributed a recent scenario where Deputy President William Ruto was heckled by a crowd during a vote-hunting mission in Kisumu county to his own loose tongue.

Speaking in an interview on KTN Friday, the ODM aspirant maintained that the heckling was as a result of Ruto's disrespect and continued attacks on former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who enjoys massive support in not only the county but the entire Western region and said that the reaction was meant to show Ruto that he ought to respect the NASA presidential candidate .

''Their reaction was provoked by Ruto who is always attacking and insulting Raila Odinga who enjoys the majority support in the region. You cannot insult Raila in his own home turf and expect anything different,'' said Passaris who however condemned the action saying that every leader should be allowed to speak and deliver their manifesto in any part of the nation.

''It was however wrong,Kenyans have to practice tolerance and embrace all leaders and candidates.Let us solve our differences in the ballot and not through violence and hooliganism,'' she said.
