Speaking in Kikuyu town over the weekend, Gicheru said that the vehicles will help sub-county administrators to conduct their activities effectively.

The Chair said that providing sub-county administrators with vehicles will also help them to traverse their areas and monitor development projects.

Gicheru said that the county is keen to boost provision of services especially at the grass root levels for the benefit of Kiambu people.

“I want to ask Kiambu MCAs to quickly pass the supplementary budget to help us buy vehicles for our officials,” said Gicheru.

He however refuted claims that the county government is favouring sub-county administrators noting that what they are doing is to ensure services are closer to the people.

Gicheru noted that the county government has initiated various development projects meant to improve the living standards of Kiambu people.

The Chair further refuted claims that the county government is discriminating other areas in terms of development.

He stated that the county will disburse development funds to all areas on equal basis to evenly achieve its development goals.

Gicheru urged Kiambu staff to commit themselves to serving the people and help address issues facing residents.
