Governor Mike Sonko had already nominated lawyer Miguna Miguna as his deputy even though the latter has since declined the position.

And according to Passaris, she is ready to fill the position which was left vacant by Polycarp Igathe, who resigned over differences with Sonko.

"I asked Governor Mike Sonko if I can be his deputy. He needs a deputy and if he cannot find one, I am wiling to take the position for the sake handshake," she said.

She added: "I know this county because I have lived here. If you chose me as deputy, I only need four departments for me to deliver."

Sonko is however yet to respond but a fortnight ago, he showed signs of dumping Miguna, saying that his decision was precipitated by individuals close to presidency antagonising him.

A couple of weeks ago, Sonko shifted his office to Machakos after claiming that his life was in danger.
