Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris has defended Governor Mike Sonko's decision to nominate lawyer Miguna Miguna as his deputy.

According to Passaris, Governor Sonko has constitutional right to nominate whoever he dims fit for any position at the county.

In an interview with Hot 96 radio station on Saturday, Passaris said that Sonko did nothing wrong by nominating Miguna.

She said that criticism's being directed at the Jubilee governor are unnecessary and a waste of time.

Passaris said that the law should be adhered to stating that those aggrieved by Sonko's move should take their frustration's elsewhere.

"I support Governor Mike Sonko and he has constitutional right to nominate Miguna or any other person's for any job at the county government," she said.

Passaris asked Sonko's critics to help him deliver on his pledges instead of criticizing him.

The ODM women's rep said that governor Sonko will deliver if he is fully supported.

Passaris asked Sonko to be firm and wise and seek counsel from the right people as he pushes for quality service delivery to Nairobians.

Sonko's move to nominate Miguna continues to draw reaction's with a majority of Jubilee politician's in the city opposing Miguna's nomination.

Sonko nominated the Canadian based lawyer on Wednesday last week, saying that he meets requirements to be deputy governor.

Claims are now emerging that Sonko has allegedly fallen out with Jubilee top brass and that there is an alleged plot to impeach him
