Speaking on Radio Jambo Wednesday evening, the leader faulted the current sole leadership of Governor Mike Sonko, noting that it has resulted to his poor performance.

However, she maintained that she must be mandated once she takes up the seat.

She noted that at least 4 county ministries must be put fully under her care should Sonko accept her request, terming the same as the best move towards better results.

"Truth is that Nairobians are grappling with so many challenges as a result of the sole leadership by Governor Sonko and for that reason I am ready to take over as his deputy," she said.

"However, I must be mandated and be put in charge of at least 4 ministries," she added.

This comes only moments after the opposition's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ally requested the governor to name her the holder of the post.

The seat was left vacant after Polycarp Igathe's earlier resignation, with Sonko's attempts to bring in opposition activist Miguna Miguna as his new deputy facing an uphill task, as a result of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader's ongoing citizenship row with the government.
