The women rep said that she has no problem working with Sonko in the spirit of the famous handshake.

She said that if Sonko cannot find someone to work with then she is ready to assist him deliver his promise to the people of Nairobi.

“The governor needs a deputy and if he cannot find one, then I am willing to take the position to help him and in the spirit of the handshake we can have a Jubilee-Nasa partnership,” she said. She also said that she feels she has what it takes to assist the first term governor. She added that the county will be doomed if it does fight poverty before Sonko completes his term in office.

“If we don’t take care of the poverty in this city and other critical services then we are all doomed. The state of hopelessness is too high, he therefore needs an able deputy,” she said.

The remarks of the lawmaker come after Sonko nominated Deported lawyer Miguna Miguna for the post. The move, however, met resistance from different factions considering his relationship with Jubilee.
